Alignment Yoga

Alignment Yoga will dive deep into the fundamentals of various poses and postures. We will focus on building a strong foundation, and explore subtle shifts and adjustments to promote structural integrity within the body. Using props, specific cues, and intentional engagement, we will work to increase the benefits and execution of each pose. We will strive to cultivate better body awareness and build strength, facilitating a safer, more effective practice.

Sarah C. has been a Mind-Body Instructor for UW Rec Sports for over three years. She first found yoga and Pilates as an effective way to exercise and manage stress, and began to practice regularly five years ago. Sarah's favorite part of teaching is watching participants gain strength and confidence in their practice, and helping people cultivate both mindfulness and body awareness. Sarah is also studying Pilates through UW-Madison's Dance Department and preparing for grad school.
